I grew up in the Greater Des Moines Area and was licensed soon after graduating Dowling High School in 1995. Like any 18 years old, I didn’t know much about real estate, but I knew I wanted to be part of this industry at that early age. I wanted to own properties to flip, rent, and lease and getting licensed seemed like a logical step to get started and learn. I was able to start buying homes at 23 years old and started investing, remodeling, and reselling both residential and commercial properties over the next ten years or so.
The lessons I learned on those jobs have served me well in this industry. I feel I have an uncommon knowledge of homes, how they’re made up, and what, if any repairs or replacements are needed. This allows me to walk through homes with buyers and arm them with all the good, bad, and ugly of a home prior to negotiating an offer on their behalf and hiring a true inspector. I also feel by having this knowledge and freely sharing it, I can establish a level of trust that is missing in today’s world of sales. My clients know I am out trying to get them the best house for them, not just any house will do!
